Greenwood C & B – 5th Sept
It’s Thursday and as Thursdays go we are off The Front Tees, seventeen golfer’s filled two buses and with a car or two we were right to transport our golfers to today’s destination.
Greenwood GC was today’s choice, this being one of the courses that we play at least once per month. B1350 G/F, Cart & Caddie one could not go wrong.
As per usual the course was in great condition, all facets were tuned for us to have a good day and hopefully a good game! We did experience a shower early in the day and it probably lasted about 20 mins. I referred to it as Melbourne Rain as it was a drizzle not too long and you would not have known that it had rained.
From L to R; Alan Nolan, todays winner Mark Stapleton, Brad Todd (in the back ground) and Chris Stewart.
We had a few to welcome, one new golfer so we welcomed Alan Murdoch, and two returning golfers being Matt Warburton and Rod Weekes. Thanks for joining us and we hope you enjoyed your day.
With seventeen golfers we played One Flight with four placing’s. All novelties prizes were again up for grabs. Attacking from the Yellow tees we played C Nine then B Nine in that order.
Mark Stapleton has done it again making it two from two on the eve of leaving us for his return to Australia. He returned a score 38 points keeping him two shots ahead of the field. Second and third went to the countback with both players locked together with 36 points, second spot going to Steve Younger with Mashi Kaneta losing the countback but getting third spot.
Fourth place also went to the countback, the only difference here is that the loser of this countback did not run a place. Rod Weekes was the lucky golfer to win the countback with Casa Rifkin missing out! Sorry Stu for every winner there has to be at least one loser!
1st Mark Stapleton (17) 38 pts.
2nd Steve Younger (12) 36 pts.

D-For was set free by John Anderson and the punters and players at Bogeys Bar and Grill were generous as always with their contributions towards the needy in Pattaya. All are thanked for this.
