Treasure Hill – 22nd Aug.
Thursday and numbers are a little sad, but as bad as it is for us there are others doing it just that little bit tougher!
It was thirteen golfers that had decided to have another crack at Treasure Hill, this is our second journey out to the hill this month. With the price the way it is why wouldn’t we, a great course at a great price. One is thinking that we could play this on a Monday from the back tees then follow up on a Thursday and attack this course from the front tees. Thus giving our golfers a great course to play on and satisfying all and sundry by sticking to our plan that is in place to try and keep all happy!
L to R… Alex Field, Shane Young, Mashi Kaneta, Peter McDonald
How nice it is, this course is in terrific condition, regardless of the weather it still comes up smelling of roses and the price and Clubhouse is the icing on top! As always fairways were trimmed and tidy, Bunkers were also tidy and raked (you can see the difference at this course when you compare to others) with the greens a little slow but pretty well running true.
The weather was on our side allowing us to play (with the numbers that we had) One Flight with three placing’s and all novelties in play. Being a Thursday we went at the course from the front tees!
Mashi made it two from two with another great win, 34 points was enough to get him across the line, only one shot in front of four golfers. Second past the post (By way of the countback system) was Alex Field, Peter McDonald was the golfer to finish third. It was not to be the Jocks day, Shane Young although finishing with the same amount of points as the two golfers above lost out on a countback!
